Grants 2007-2008
***GWRC Teachers as Readers
Grant ***
Greater Washington Reading Council is committed
to helping teachers further their professional development
in reading and writing. A teachers-as-readers grant
is available to GWRC members for the 2007-2008 school
year as one way to support that growth.
To apply for the grant, form a group of 10-12 people in
your school and select one professional book and three
childrens books to read. Plan to meet approximately
6-8 times during the 2007-2008 school year to discuss
what youve read and how it will impact your teaching.
This is a matching funds grant, which means that GWRC
will pay half of your proposed budget. You must
secure another funding source to pay the remainder.
